Passenger killed Following driver loses control of Audi on I-95 in Fort Lauderdale

A deadly crash occurred in Broward County on Monday morning, and authorities reacted.

It happened in the northbound lanes of I-95, near the exit ramp for Cypress Creek Road in Pompano Beach.

According to police, the driver of a 2011 Audi A4 lost control on I-95 just south of Cypress Creek Road and collided with a guardrail.

The driver, a 23-year-old man from Coconut Creek, sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

The driver took his passenger, a 27-year-old man from Pompano Beach, to Broward Health North, where he eventually passed away.

After the incident, Florida Highway Patrol troopers were seen on the scene assisting rescue teams.

The exit ramp was closed as investigators examined the site.
