40 People Taken Into Custody After Investigation Into Ohio Nightclub

40 people have been arrested as part of a months-long police probe surrounding a Fairfield nightclub, according to authorities.

Police said the operation was begun in response to violence at the Sabor Peruano Night Club, including two shootings in the last two months.

After determining that many of the individuals engaged were in the country illegally, Fairfield Police requested assistance from federal immigration and law enforcement officers.

The coordinated effort culminated in the arrest of 40 people and their transportation to the Butler County Jail. According to Sheriff Richard Jones, the majority of individuals apprehended were in the country illegally.

The Fairfield Police Department stressed its commitment to public safety in a statement, stating it “will not tolerate behavior that compromises public safety.”

Police also stated that despite repeated concerns, the club’s owners had failed to address persistent issues. The department said it will continue to monitor the area and allocate resources to maintain community safety.
