According to the Florida Lottery, Hatchett purchased the winning ticket at Medical Food Mart (2534 SE 17th Street) in Ocala.

Hatchett won the prize in the “$1,000,000 A Year for Life Spectacular” scratch-off game. She opted to accept her prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $640,000.

The “$1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular” scratch-off costs $50 and has two grand prizes of $1 million per year for life. Additionally, there are 234 $1 million rewards. The Florida Lottery believes the ticket contains more than $1.6 billion in cash prizes.
