According to Fox 32 Chicago, officers arrived at the scene shortly before 11:00 p.m. and located two male victims.

Officers discovered the victims, ages 48 and 45, suffering from bullet wounds, a common symbol of conflict in Chicago’s nightscape.

The older man was apparently shot numerous times and was in fair condition, whilst the 45-year-old had wounds to his back and arm, putting him in serious condition.

Both were immediately transported to Stroger Hospital, as described in the same article.

Investigators are piecing together the events that prompted two suspected male gunmen to draw and irresponsibly discharge their weapons after a verbal altercation.

Meanwhile, CBS News Chicago provides a parallel description of the shooting, citing the same location—the Franklin Super Food and Liquor store in Humboldt Park—as the setting for the gunfire that night. Diverging details come together to produce a coherent description of the night’s events, with a focus on the investigation’s current stage. No arrests have been made, and detectives from Area 3 are currently investigating the event.
