Missing West Valley Man Discovered Dead 1 Day After Silver Alert Was Issued

A West Valley man who went missing last week, prompting a Silver Alert, was discovered dead Tuesday morning, authorities said.

His family reported Richard Guy, 68, missing to the Buckeye Police Department on Thursday. On August 18, his family last saw him at his house near Van Buren Street and Sundance Parkway.

On Monday, Guy’s car was found on a private property at Miller Road and Sunrise Drive, roughly ten miles from his home.

The authorities then conducted a search and issued a Silver Alert. Off-road vehicles, drones, and cadaver dogs were employed to look for his abandoned car.

The decomposing body of a missing West Valley man was discovered about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in a desert region about 200 yards from his car, according to authorities.
