Missing Child Alert Update: ODHS announces 11-Year-Old Christopher Brayton Found Safe in Oregon

UPDATE: The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS), Child Welfare Division, is thankful for the community’s assistance in finding Christopher Brayton.

Christopher Brayton, 11, went missing from Redmond on August 18. He was found on August 24.

ORIGINAL:  On August 18, Christopher Brayton (child), 11, and his father, Christopher Brayton (father), went missing from Redmond. The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS), Kid Welfare Division, feels Christopher Brayton (kid) may be in danger and is searching for him to ensure his safety.

ODHS urges the public to assist in the search for Christopher Brayton (kid). Anyone who feels they know where he or his father is should call 911 or the Oregon Child Abuse Hotline at 1-855-503-SAFE (7233).

They are suspected to be driving a maroon Toyota vehicle with the license number 335NEC. Perhaps they’re on their way to Disneyland:

  • Name: Christopher Brayton
  • Pronouns: He/him
  • Date of birth: Feb. 1, 2014
  • Height: 5-foot-8
  • Weight: 184 pounds
  • Hair: Brown
  • Eye color: Brown
  • Redmond Police Department Case #25-25538
  • National Center for Missing and Exploited Children #2059189

When a child goes missing, they may be at serious risk, and ODHS may need to locate them in order to assess and support their safety. ODHS will issue media warnings when necessary to locate these missing children and assess their safety. In some cases, a child may go missing again, resulting in many media alerts for the same youngster.

Report child abuse to the Oregon Child Abuse Hotline at 1-855-503-SAFE (7233). This toll-free hotline allows you to report abuse of any child or adult to the Oregon Department of Human Services at any time, day or night, 365 days a year.
