Man Arrested After Critically Injuring Other During South Side Bar Fight

Indianapolis police have arrested a man for his role in the south side bar fight that badly injured another man.

The role broke out approximately 1 a.m. on August 16 at That Place Bar & Grill, 8810 S. Emerson Ave.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says officers were dispatched to investigate an active disturbance and discovered 31-year-old David Risley comatose on the ground outside the bar.

Medics transported Risley to the hospital in severe condition. The IMPD has not offered a more recent update on his condition.

After interviewing several witnesses and studying security camera footage, they identified Terence Lambert, 37, as a suspect. Lambert was arrested on Tuesday without incident.

Lambert was brought into Marion County Jail on a preliminary charge of aggravated violence. A hearing date has not yet been established.
