Venezuelan Torture Suspect Released Under Biden-Era Policies Cries During ICE apprehend in Texas

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers apprehended a Venezuelan illegal alien wanted for torturing and attempting to murder a lady in his native country; the fugitive burst into tears after being placed in a police van in North Texas earlier this month. The Venezuelan man escaped to the United States and was released from detention under Biden’s catch-and-release policies.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officials worked with US Marshals deputies and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers to apprehend Raul Enrique Pargas Rodriguez, a 31-year-old illegal alien fugitive from Venezuela. ICE agents revealed this week that the arrest occurred on August 14 in Plano, Texas.

“This dangerous criminal alien allegedly beat, demeaned and tortured a young woman in some twisted version of Russian roulette and then fled to the United States when his attempt to murder her fell apart,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Dallas acting Field Office Director Joshua Johnson. “Thanks to a tip from the U.S. Border Patrol, we were able to track him down and safely take him into custody so that he can be repatriated to Venezuela to face justice for his alleged crimes.”

A video posted by ICE on social media shows the tough guy bawling like a baby as ERO officers remove him from their police van.

According to ICE officials, a warrant from Venezuela states that Pargas called a woman to his workshop in February 2021. He apparently went into a tremendous rage and began mocking, beating, and attacking the woman. According to officials, he then took out a black revolver and pointed it at her. He then reportedly aimed the revolver toward her head, withdrawing and replacing some of the bullets. He then re-aimed his rifle at her head.

Fortunately, the woman was able to escape, while the coward fled the country. He entered the United States illegally on August 10, 2022, in Eagle Pass, Texas. Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended him and released him under Biden-era regulations. ICE officers found the man in the Dallas County jail 15 months after arresting him for assault. Biden-era measures of “prosecutorial discretion” resulted in his release back to Texas.

ERO officials received information from Border Patrol that Pargas was living in North Texas. Border Patrol informed ICE that Pargas had an ongoing warrant in Venezuela for attempted aggravated femicide. On the same day, ICE agents, US Marshals deputies, and Texas DPS troopers worked together to apprehend the man.

Pargas is still in ICE detention pending the outcome of his immigration procedures, officials said.
