The University of Indianapolis announced on Wednesday that one of its students has died.
According to a release issued by University President Tanuja Singh, a student died at University Lofts on Wednesday evening. The student’s identity has not been revealed at this time.
The University of Indianapolis Police Department was summoned to an apartment around 8:30 p.m. They reported finding a “college-aged male deceased in not-natural circumstances.”
There is currently no active threat to campus. UIPD and IMPD are currently investigating.
President Singh stated that the university is cooperating closely with authorities in their inquiry and is assisting the family.
“We know this news is deeply upsetting and affects many members of our community,” said President Singh. “Counseling and support services are available if anyone needs them.”
