A New York man has been taken into custody as a fugitive from justice for crimes allegedly committed in Pennsylvania.
Michael J. Parker, 28, of Baldwin, NY, was apprehended on Monday, Sept. 8, as a fugitive from justice in Bradford County for the offense of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or distribute, according to an announcement from the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office.

Parker was charged on Monday after the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office learned he had an arrest warrant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, according to the release. Parker is currently being jailed at the Chemung County Jail on other charges, according to the announcement.
Furthermore, the Criminal Investigations Division was given information regarding Parker, who was then apprehended and processed as a fugitive from justice, according to the announcement.
Parker was charged with the aforementioned felonies and will remain in the Chemung County Jail until he appears in court in the future to discuss his extradition to Pennsylvania, according to the release.
