When cops arrived, they discovered two individuals in violation of hotel policy.

During the initial inquiry, police reported finding multiple bags containing a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine and fentanyl, as well as mushrooms and drug paraphernalia, in plain sight inside the hotel room.

A search warrant was issued, resulting in the seizure of around 12 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 20 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and 4 grams of suspected cocaine.

According to police, a third suspect later arrived at the hotel with stolen stuff and a pistol. A search of her vehicle turned up a handgun and an extra magazine.

Suspects were identified as:

  • James Franklin Brumback, 68, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I or II drug and possession of stolen property.
  • Wyatt Leif Gil, 32, of Roanoke, Virginia, charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I or II drug and possession of stolen property.
  • Stella Verdaunta Farmer, 61, of Atkins, Virginia, charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I or II drug and possession of a firearm by a felon.

According to police, the seized chemicals will be transported to a forensic lab for analysis. An E-Trace is also being performed on the firearm.
