Balda was sentenced for launching an eight-month intimidation campaign against the victim, during which time he sent nasty, profane voicemails and text messages.

His actions worsened, and he drove from Oregon to Arizona to confront the victim, prosecutors said.

However, police caught Balda near the victim’s home before he could engage in a physical altercation.

When Balda was arrested, authorities discovered four knives, binoculars, and an imitation firearm in his car.
