Police accuse Villarreal, a third-party delivery driver, of delivering only a portion of the parcels he was engaged to bring. According to police, Villarreal is suspected of removing over 1,000 items from deliveries intended for distribution by the United States Postal Service. According to the inquiry, between January and May 2025, Villarreal removed over 1,000 products worth more than $86,000 from Amazon distribution center pallets.

On Thursday, BPD agents searched Villarreal’s home, another property, his vehicle, and a storage container. The search turned up hundreds of cartons and boxes, as well as a warehouse pallet. According to police, Villarreal sold the products on social media or through online auctions.
