A “traveler” was apprehended at Orlando International Airport after a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to US Customs and Border Patrol.
CBP Director of Operations Carlos Martel stated in a release on Monday that authorities were able to catch the traveler, who was a confirmed match for an active arrest warrant issued by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Martel, the warrant was issued on a charge of homicide/murder using a handgun.
“The individual was immediately turned over to (the sheriff’s office) to face prosecution for these charges,” said Martel.
There has been no additional information offered at this time.
