According to police, preliminary information shows there was an issue with overcrowding at Play Bar and Grill, prompting the fire marshal’s call. When police came, they said that the crowd was “pushed outside” and there was a confrontation. Soon later, gunfire rang out.

According to police, five people were treated at the site for gunshot wounds before being sent to local hospitals. The sixth person was driven to a nearby hospital by a private vehicle.

According to a news release, law enforcement collected approximately 40 shot casings from four different caliber firearms in the area. After studying security footage, authorities determined that one of the victims was witnessed shooting a weapon. Cleveland.com claimed, citing police, that four persons were shooting at each other.

Ohio mass shooting update

Police reported that a 21-year-old lady was shot in the foot, a 45-year-old guy was shot in the knee, a 22-year-old male was shot in the thigh, an 18-year-old young woman was shot in the belly, and a 16-year-old kid was shot in the mouth. A 21-year-old man thought to be a suspect was shot many times. He was arrested, and CBS affiliate WOIO said that more arrests are imminent.

The particular situations of those shot were not immediately known. As of Monday evening, police had not named the person considered to be a suspect.

“We are thankful that there were not more victims in this senseless act of violence,” police said in a news statement.

Police are conducting an investigation.
