13 Detained During Multi-county Vape Shop Raid, All Bonds Set

The Perry County Sheriff’s Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration raided over 20 businesses and residences in the Pine Belt on Thursday following an exhaustive investigation.

The multi-county crackdown focused on people selling alcohol, vapes, THC, and other illegal substances to underage customers.

According to a news statement from the Perry County Sheriff’s Department, this was a pervasive problem, and many of the defendants had close relationships.

Local law enforcement confirmed that the following individuals were arrested in Forrest County on criminal charges:

Gaizan Abubaker, 37, of Houma, LA

Rami Selah, 32, of Petal

Gabr Al-Gabri, 36, of Petal

Basel Rashad, 30, of Petal

Anmed Elgabry, 30, of Petal

Mohammed Riyadh, 31, of Hattiesburg

Abdulnaser Nasser, 34, of Petal

Ahmedou Mohamedlaamar, 22

We anticipate that some detainees from Forrest County will make their initial appearance after noon on Friday.
