The boys Ridgeline lacrosse team played West High School in the first ever sanctioned lacrosse game in the state of Utah on March 3rd. The game started strong for Ridgeline with three shots in the first minute. Rhett Gebert scored the first goal of the game with a rip from midrange. The team carried this momentum throughout the rest of the quarter scoring a total of nine points. The second quarter started strong again with more goals that came from the Attackman and Midfield. Up until this point West High had yet to score a goal, which changed about halfway through the second quarter. Ridgeline fired back with five more goals, leaving attackman Jack Jenson with the first hat trick of the season. With RHS up 14-1, momentum slowed and the third quarter came and went with West scoring one goal, and Ridgeline scoring zero. As the game came to the final quarter, tensions were low and the hope of a comeback from West was slowly dying amongst the stands scattered with fans. Ridgeline left West with three final goals and West only leaving with one more. The game ended with a total score of 17-3, with the win going to RHS!
