Florida Man Apprehended On Attempted Murder Charges After Allegedly Shooting At His Ex And Her New Boyfriend

A Florida man has been apprehended on several attempted murder charges after he allegedly fired shots at his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend earlier this month in Osceola County.

On September 7, Orlando Police Department officers responded to a civil dispute involving children and domestic abuse at a complex off South Semoran Boulevard in Osceola County.

When police came, they said they spoke with a woman and her boyfriend, who said the father of the woman’s children, 31-year-old Arturo Arrieta-Alvardo, had arrived at the house unexpectedly and forced his way in while dropping off the two children.

The boyfriend claimed that the night before the event, he awoke to a flashlight in his face and saw Arrieta-Alvardo push his fiancée to the ground. The boyfriend claimed he confronted Arrieta-Alvardo, who reportedly assaulted him before fleeing.

Arrieta-Alvardo allegedly then went to the back sliding door and started hammering on the glass. The couple reported hearing what they assumed to be a gunshot before Arrieta-Alvardo entered the house again.

The couple called the cops, and Arrieta-Alvardo fled the scene.

Although the woman claimed Arrieta-Alvardo was on the lease, she stated that they do not live together and separated in February.

Officers on the scene found damage to the rear patio door, as well as footprints, blood, and glass in the entryway.

Arrieta-Alvardo was detained and faces accusations of attempted murder, armed residential burglary, shooting into an occupied structure, violence, and criminal mischief.
