Police: 2 Men Charged In Armed Oak Lawn Home Invasion

Two men were taken into custody and charged after forcibly entering an Oak Lawn home in May, according to police.

Alonzo E. Gause was arrested on Tuesday in Chicago’s 11500 block of South Aberdeen.

Gause was charged with residential burglary and theft after reportedly breaking into a home at 90th Street and Sprout Avenue with Jamaal Stevens on May 7.

The homeowner informed police that two masked individuals pushed open his rear door, pointed a gun at him, and grabbed his belongings. The suspects departed in a recent black Ford Ranger.

Stevens was detained on July 8th, following an inquiry. According to officials, he faces charges of residential burglary and theft.

Gause has a record of robbery, assault, and firearms charges.

A court hearing was scheduled for Wednesday. No further information has been shared.
