Florida Woman Sentenced For Inappropriate Relationship With Stepson Following Caught By Husband

On September 16, an Ocala woman was sentenced to a felony for lewd or lascivious battery on her stepson after his father caught them in the act.

According to an arrest document from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), 34-year-old Alexis Von Yates, also known as Alexis C. Von Rodenstein, was arrested on November 6, 2024, after being detected having a sexual connection with her 15-year-old stepson.

On July 30, 2024, the victim’s father caught Von Yates. According to the affidavit, Von Yates was caring for the victim and his younger siblings while their father worked late hours. Investigators claim that after the younger children were put to bed, the two had sexual contact before being caught.

The victim told the sheriff’s office that Von Yates had made multiple sexual comments to him before and after the incident, which left him feel “f***** up” and unable to eat.

Von Yates entered a nolo contendere plea and was found guilty on September 16, according to Marion County court records.

On September 16, Judge Timothy T. McCourt sentenced Von Yates to:

  • 2 years in state prison
  • 2 years of community control
  • 10 years of probation under sex offender supervision
  • 2 days of time served

The court docket indicates that no trial was held, and the defendant’s plea avoided a jury verdict. The matter is finally closed, but Von Yates will face stringent surveillance for the next decade.
