A 35-year-old Manassas man was detained after a violent altercation in a parking lot, according to Prince William County Police.
Officers were dispatched to the 7200 block of Centreville Road at 2:49 a.m. on Sunday to investigate complaints of fighting.

According to the investigation, a stranger approached a 49-year-old man in the parking lot and hit him in the face. He was taken to the hospital after suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
Police reported that a second individual who attempted to interfere was also struck.
Juan Ramon Chavez Garcia was detained after the attack and charged with malicious wounding, assault and battery, and public intoxication. He is expected to appear in court on October 22, 2025, and is being held on a $1,000 secured bond.
