Central Florida Sheriff Executed P.I.T. Maneuver, Reckless Fleeing Driver Apprehended

A Central Florida sheriff handled the situation himself and executed a P.I.T. maneuver, arresting a reckless fleeing driver.

When a driver escaped the Port Orange Police Department, swerved through traffic, ran red lights, and traveled at 118 mph up and down I-95, law officers said he put everyone on the road at risk.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood used a P.I.T. maneuver (precise immobilization technique) to arrest him after his reckless ride.

Christian Will Ottinot, 24, of Broward County, was charged with fleeing from law police, reckless driving, and a Florida Super Speeder violation, as well as multiple felony traffic penalties, according to local authorities.
