Two people have been detained in connection with a spate of armed robberies in Central Florida.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to arrest Andres Correa Jr., 39, and his girlfriend, Cassandra Kerr, 46.
The two were linked to a number of armed commercial robberies that happened around Hillsborough County in July and August 2025.
During each robbery, Correa Jr. used a pistol, threatened staff and customers, and stole an undisclosed sum of cash. Detectives discovered that Kerr was personally involved in the robberies, since he drove Correa Jr. to and from the scenes.
HCSO and ATF supported the FBI in serving several federal search warrants on homes and vehicles. Several pieces of evidence from the robberies were discovered, including a weapon.
Correa Jr. and Kerr face federal charges for three counts of 18 USC § 1951 Hobbs Act Robbery.
