Harrison County Sheriff Matt Haley announced Monday afternoon the arrest of 36-year-old Kurtis Emmert of Saucier on one felony count of touching a juvenile for lustful purposes.
According to officials, Emmert reported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on Sunday, September 28, that he had impregnated a 12-year-old minor.
Following an inquiry, Emmert was charged with the lustful touching of a child.
Justice Court Judge Louise Ladner set his bond at $250,000 and lodged him into the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility.
Officials said there is an ongoing investigation that may result in additional charges.
