Missing Utah Teen Locate Alive As Miami Man Faces Charges Tied To Her Disappearance

A Utah teenager has been found alive, and a South Florida man is facing charges in connection with her disappearance.

Alisa Petrov, 15, has been missing since April 21. According to Salt Lake City ABC station KTVX, Petrov “is in good health and safe.”

Authorities discovered her near Colorado Springs, Colorado, according to the station.

Matthew Nicholas Menard, a 35-year-old from Miami’s Silver Bluff neighborhood, surrendered to South Jordan, Utah police on several counts Wednesday after officials claimed he engaged in sexual conversations with her.

Authorities claimed the two discussed meeting in Las Vegas, and Menard recommended they hire a prostitute for group sex.

Several Salt Lake City news stations stated that Petrov was last seen stepping off a train in Provo, Utah, and asking where Las Vegas was.

Two additional men, William Taylor Glines, 37, of Texas City, Texas, and Samuel Mitchell, 41, of Herriman, Utah, are suspected of having explicit contacts with Petrov.

According to KTVX, Menard is expected to appear in a Provo courtroom on Monday.
