3 teens allegedly kidnapped, beaten in Orange County
Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) responded to reports of a kidnapping on the night of January 16 at an Orlando house.
Officials stated the complainant’s son’s friend, a 15-year-old boy, was forced into a white four-door sedan. The complainant claimed the boy was brought to Smoke Break Productions, which is located at 9810 East Colonial Drive.
When deputies arrived at the store, they reported that many individuals had fled the area.
According to an arrest affidavit, the 15-year-old boy was discovered and transported to the hospital, where he was treated for a large laceration to his head caused by being struck with the buttstock of a firearm. The boy reported multiple threats to his life. Two further youngsters were allegedly kidnapped and assaulted.
When officials investigated the store, they discovered many concealed guns and multiple bags of suspected illegal substances.
Orozco-Baquero was recognized as one of the kidnappers by one of the minors using a photo lineup.
Orozco-Baquero was detained and sent to the Orange County Jail. He faces allegations of aggravated violence with a firearm and kidnapping.
Prior to the event, three juveniles allegedly burglarized the smoking shop by smashing the front door and taking many goods.
Officials suspect the burglary was the reason for the alleged kidnapping and beating.
It is unknown whether any other suspects in the alleged kidnapping and beating have yet been apprehended.
