Dallas Police Seize $100,000 And 357 Pounds Of Meth And Handgun In West Oak Cliff Drug Bust

Dallas police seized a large amount of methamphetamine, cash, and a handgun following a tip that led them to a location in West Oak Cliff. The October 1 bust netted around 357 pounds of meth worth more than $1 million, as well as $100,000 in cash.

The operation began after officials obtained information about a suspect involved in drug trafficking. Following the lead, cops arrived at the 4300 block of Communications Drive and conducted a traffic stop, revealing the illegal narcotics and cash. A firearm was also confiscated following the arrest.

During the ongoing investigation, one suspect was detained, but authorities have not published his or her identity. The Dallas Police Department is still investigating the scope of the drug ring.

Deputy Chief Kylee Hawks, leader of the South Patrol Group, commented on X about the successful seizure and stated:

“Getting any amount of drugs off the street is a win, and getting more than 160 kilos of meth off the street is a major success. Knowing this came from a tip means people want to help us make a difference in their community.”

Police also released photographs of the confiscated drugs, cash, and weapon, demonstrating the scope of the operation.

This isn’t the first big meth bust in Dallas this year. During an investigation into a high-level Dallas narcotics trafficker, the Dallas Police Department’s Special Investigations Division seized around 35 kilograms of meth, as well as tiny amounts of cocaine and heroin, in April 2025. The collection was estimated between $700,000 and $1 million, and one person was apprehended at the time.

Authorities have underlined that the West Oak Cliff and April busts are part of continuing investigations into the city’s drug trafficking networks.
