Dante Dewayne Odom, a fugitive on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list, was arrested in Houston on October 9, 2025. Authorities made the arrest based on a tip they received.
Dante Dewayne Odom, also known by aliases as Anthony Dante Odom and Dante Dwayne Odom, was wanted for failing to comply with laws regarding sex offender registration. According to a press statement from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the 52-year-old is 6 feet tall and weighs 160 pounds. His criminal history includes burglary with the intent to violate or abuse the victim sexually, as well as assault.
The Texas Attorney General’s Office, Texas Highway Patrol Troopers, and DPS Special Agents all worked together to apprehend Odom. He was found and arrested at his workplace. Odom had been wanted since June 2025, when a Harris County warrant was issued for his arrest for failing to follow sex offender registration standards, according to the source.
Odom was sentenced to 12 years in jail after being convicted in 1992 of burglary with the purpose to violate or abuse the victim sexually. He has also received repeated convictions for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements and violence resulting in bodily injury to a family member. Odom was last released by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in March 2022.
