D4DJ Groovy Mix

D4DJ+Groovy+Mix

D4DJ Groovy Mix is an anime rhythm game consisting of 9 DJ units and a wide selection of songs to choose from.  In the D4DJ Groovy Mix, as a DJ on screen, you use a phone, or a tablet (preferred way due to more room), and tap the screen, using the fader to sliiiiide into the rhythm or flick using the discs to follow the beat clearly and have fun being a virtual DJ.

The D4DJ Groovy Mix consists of 6 main units, and 3 other units involved in this game.  This includes the following:  Happy Around, Peaky P-Key, Photon Maiden, Merm4id, RONDO, and Lyrical Lily.  Other units include the following: Call of Artemis, UniChØrd, and the recent DJ unit Abyssmare.  This game can be played in normal mode, which is just tap only and fader, while manual mode takes it to next level with flicks of disks and fader slides and follows.

D4DJ has area conversations in which all D4DJ units can be interacted with each other whenever it’s their crew or a friend of the other unit.  In each song, there are 4 difficulties, all of them are different.  There is the usual easy, normal, hard, and the hardest of them all is the expert mode.   They range from XN (easiest than 1) to 16+ (the only expert 16+ song there is currently is the LOVE!HUG!GROOVY!! +nova using the easter egg in the medley L + H + G + !)  Hailey Roberts, a senior at Ridgeline High School said about this game “If I were to play this game for 24/7, then I would use my toes if my hands were burned out due to touching the rhythm on the beat.”  “I would seek out an opportunity to follow the beat continuously.”  Ellie Johnson, also a senior at RHS said, “I would use one hand at this game to switch my rhythm since it would be a better experience for the game itself.”  Ellie expects that this game is a more of a fun way to warm up the hands.  D4DJ Groovy Mix was released in 2020, and is currently on its 2nd season into the game.  It currently has events happening every day with a two day break after the event ends.
