Saturday night, the Missouri State route Patrol responded to a motorcycle crash on a rural Jackson County route.
According to the investigation, the crash happened around 7 p.m. on May 31.
According to MSHP, a 66-year-old Kingsville man was driving his Harley-Davidson Street Glide south on Highway F with an Odessa woman, 54, as a passenger when he drove off the road. The motorcycle was briefly airborne before colliding with a ditch and rolling.
The motorist was declared deceased at a Lee’s Summit hospital. The driver sent his passenger to Centerpoint Medical Center, where they received moderate injuries. Neither was reported to be wearing safety equipment.
The motorcycle was totaled in the collision.
