Officials say detectives from the PGPD Homicide Unit used “various investigative techniques” to identify Okubo as the suspect.

The early inquiry found that Okubo and Bullock knew each other, but the motivation is yet unknown.

Okubo has been charged with first-degree murder and related crimes. He is currently being imprisoned in the Department of Corrections on a no-bond basis.
