A Texas man is accused of raping a woman in Calcasieu Parish, according to authorities.
Oliver Ramos, 37, of Rosharon, Texas, has been charged with third-degree rape.

Detectives from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit launched an investigation on October 17 after receiving a rape report.
The victim informed detectives that she went to a bar with a new acquaintance who knew Oliver. Later that evening, she fell asleep and awoke to the alleged rape.
Ramos was apprehended Friday and placed into Calcasieu Parish Jail. He was released on a $400,000 bond.
