Armed Salvadoran Illegal Alien Taken Into Custody in Texas Home Depot Parking Lot

A federal multi-agency task force raided a Home Depot parking lot in Southeast Houston, where they found an armed Salvadoran illegal alien. For more than a decade, Breitbart Texas has observed the unvetted illegal aliens that frequent Home Depot parking lots, searching for people to take them to their houses for day labor.

UPDATE: ICE officials told Breitbart Texas that the Home Depot parking lot was not the target of yesterday’s operation. Officers and agents were conducting a targeted enforcement operation against certain known criminal aliens in the region. As the officers drove by the Home Depot on their way to the targeted alien’s location, dozens of people began to escape, giving them probable cause to act.

During the contacts in the Home Depot parking lot, the police and agents apprehended about 40 illegal aliens. We anticipate providing more details about the arrests soon.

ICE officials previously informed Breitbart that police in the Houston area do not target Home Depot parking lots because they are concerned about the safety of individuals they encounter.

ORIGINAL STORY: Breitbart Texas rode with ICE agents and CBP officers throughout the weekend as they worked in the same region as the Wednesday takedown. Ben Bergquam of Real American Voice rode with the task force during this operation, which resulted in the arrest of around 120 illegal aliens.

Bergquam’s video begins at 2:15 as he approaches an arrest where agents and officers uncover a tiny weapon in the pocket of a Salvadoran illegal alien. The weapon was easy to conceal. An illegal alien’s possession of a firearm or ammunition is a violation of federal law.

Bergquam reported seeing a US citizen in the parking lot asking for work.

“Now he doesn’t have to compete against illegals,” he explained. “The reality is illegal aliens compete for just about every job in our country, but they disproportionately affect the low-income communities. If you actually care about low-income Americans, then you will support the deportation of illegals.”

The presence of U.S. State Department Diplomatic Security Service special agents exemplifies the Trump administration’s whole-of-government approach to mass deportations. The agents are seen pursuing and arresting illegal aliens who are unlawfully seizing jobs that American citizens may otherwise obtain.

Every day, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrests hundreds of illegal aliens in the Houston region. Larry Adams, Houston’s Acting Deputy Director, told Breitbart Saturday night that roughly 80% of individuals apprehended have criminal records. These include arrests and convictions for major felonies such as child sex assault, murder, aggravated assault, drug dealing, and illegal weapon possession.

Using sophisticated software that accesses several federal and state databases, officers and agents may target high-crime areas like Northeast Houston, where Breitbart drove along with the team. According to Adams, “We’ve identified approximately 800 potential targets within a one-mile radius in that part of the city.”

Adams said the “Elite” software shows hot areas, highly populated, high crime.” He explained that the software allows officers to drill down to the country of origin, the criminality, and even its severity.

“So what we’ll do is we’ll find an area,” Adams explained. “Then we’ll choose (categories) like aggravated felons or crimes of violence, things like that, all the way down to sexual predators.” He explained this is how they develop the targeted enforcement operations that have landed thousands of dangerous criminal aliens in custody, resulting in their permanent removal from the country.
