Officers approached 45-year-old De’Andrea L. Tucker on the front porch. Tucker allegedly resisted commands and kept his hands buried in his sweatshirt pocket.

After a brief fight, he was detained. During the interaction, officers say he tried to throw away suspected crack cocaine, which was discovered at the site.

While Tucker was being brought into custody, officers knocked on the front door and announced their presence.

When no one replied, they forced entry. Inside, Stephanie L. Burk, 46, was seen fleeing upstairs.

She was discovered in a bedroom, where police believe she attempted to dispose of suspected crack cocaine. Burk was taken into arrest without additional incident.

A search of the home yielded additional suspected crack cocaine, as well as packing supplies, digital scales, baking soda, multiple cell phones, and other drug-related items often used in drug production and trafficking.

Tucker was accused of possessing cocaine and tampering with evidence.

Burk faces charges of cocaine possession, evidence tampering, illicit drug production, and cocaine trafficking. Both were booked into Logan County Jail.

The investigation is still ongoing, and officials say additional charges may be brought once evidence is examined.
