A 26-year-old man was arrested after investigators accused him of vehicle theft and inappropriate activities with a 15-year-old girl, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.
John Kyle Ferber, of Fort Pierce, was accused of stealing his sister’s vehicle on November 8 and driving it to Lakeland to pick up the 15-year-old girl.
Around 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 10, sheriff’s deputies received anonymous information that a man was staying at a lodging establishment on Okeechobee Road with a teenage girl.
Ferber was convicted of four counts of lewd or lascivious battery by engaging in sexual activity with a person 12 years of age or older but under the age of 16; three counts of lewd or lascivious molestation by an offender 18 years of age or older against a victim 12 years of age or older but under the age of 16; and one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle.
