Felix pleaded guilty to the charges in February 2025.

According to the Ocala Police Department, officers were summoned to the Marathon convenience store at 3620 E Silver Springs Boulevard on June 16, 2024, in response to an armed robbery report.

OPD released video security footage showing the male robbery suspect, subsequently identified as Felix, pointing a weapon at an employee and instructing them to “hurry” and “put (cash) in the bag.”

Shortly after the incident, an OPD officer saw Felix changing clothes behind the Kingdom Revival Church and instructed him to “get on the ground.”

Felix is heard asking the officer, “What’d I do?” in body camera footage released by OPD. Felix ignored the officer’s order to stop and continued going, claiming that he “didn’t do anything.”

Felix then began sprinting away from the officer, heading on foot toward the neighboring Ocala Municipal Golf Course.

An OPD officer discovered Felix on the golf course, prompting a brief foot pursuit. Felix dropped to the ground after being tasered by the police, and he was promptly handcuffed.

According to the authorities, Felix was in possession of over $700 in cash from the convenience shop as well as a loaded weapon. He was arrested, brought into Marion County Jail, and charged with armed robbery and resisting an officer without violence.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Ocala Police Department investigated this case. Belkis H. Callaos, an Assistant United States Attorney, prosecuted the case.
