A 12-year-old boy has been arrested and placed into the Montgomery County Juvenile Justice Center for reportedly stabbing his 13-year-old brother on Sunday afternoon.
Dayton Police Department officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the 5600 block of Hoover Avenue.

When they arrived, they discovered the 13-year-old victim had been stabbed in the abdomen. He was transferred to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Police say the 12-year-old was the one who stabbed his brother. He was charged with both felony assault and domestic violence. Authorities also sent the case to Montgomery County Children’s Services.
This is the boy’s second recorded incident; police say he threatened to kill his brother and mother earlier this year. The Family Justice Center is still investigating.
