Parents overjoyed after daughter located safe following AMBER Alert scare

An Ogden family is feeling extremely thankful for their 13-year-old daughter’s safe recovery.

She was allegedly taken by a family friend on Wednesday morning, prompting an AMBER Alert.

But she was later found safe near Fort Collins, Colorado.

Relatives and friends who had gathered outside the family home received the wonderful news around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Jesse Francisco received an update directly from Ogden police officers.

“And they tell us, ‘OK, we have your daughter; she’s safe, and he is in custody.'”

Erika Francisco was overjoyed.

“Relief! I am relieved to know she is safe and will be returning home. “It’s been a long and stressful day,” Erika explained.

It all started earlier in the day, when Chris Wiggins, 33, left with their 13-year-old daughter.

Wiggins is/was a family friend.

Someone they allowed to stay with them and his own daughter.

Wiggins left a child behind when he reportedly stole their 13-year-old daughter.

They were finally discovered in Colorado, and while certain things remain unclear and unresolved, Erika and Jesse are simply grateful to the cops.

“Thank you for ensuring my daughter’s safety. Thank you for getting my daughter home safely and finding her immediately!

“That’s all I can say,” she said.

“And to know that she is coming home is the best feeling in the world!”

Deputies spotted Wiggins and the 13-year-old in Larimer County, Colorado.

The family is now traveling to Fort Collins to pick up their daughter.
