The Houston Police Department Robbery Division continues to seek public assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for a forced robbery.
On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at about 4:50 p.m., the complainant, a rideshare driver, was providing a trip to an unknown female in the 1000 block of Banks in Houston, Texas.
The complainant indicated that the female unexpectedly opened the back door of his vehicle while it was going, and he urged her not to do so since it was unsafe. The female reacted to the complainant by saying that he should relax because no automobiles were approaching.
The complainant then pulled over, informed the female that he had canceled the ride, and asked her to exit the vehicle.
The female suspect refused to exit the vehicle and then assaulted the complainant, punching him in the face.
The suspect then snatched the complainant’s car keys and fled the scene on foot.
Houston Police Robbery Detectives did a follow-up investigation, and the name of the female suspect is still unknown.
Suspect description: Hispanic female wearing a light-colored sports bra and black jeans.
