Two men were taken into custody after shooting inside a Chesapeake KFC and being uncooperative with officers on Monday, according to police.
Following a report of a gunshot inside the building, officers rushed to the KFC at 3148 Western Branch Boulevard.
When they arrived, they located two suspects nearby: Kaden Ratliff (18) and Billy Ratliff (39). Police reported that they were uncooperative and displayed symptoms of intoxication.
Officers retrieved a firearm from Kaden that had a spent round. According to police, a bullet hole was discovered inside the restaurant’s bathroom.
They were arrested after ignoring commands and resisting cops. Kaden was charged with shooting into an occupied building, irresponsible firearm handling, carrying a hidden weapon, obstructing traffic, being intoxicated in public, and failing to identify. Billy was charged with obstruction, public intoxication, and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Both were brought to Chesapeake City Jail.
