Theta Hughes, 27, was reported missing after last being seen at the St. Louis Amtrak station on the morning of December 3, 2025. According to authorities, Hughes boarded a train in St. Louis at 6:35 a.m. on December 3, 2025, and was supposed to arrive in Chicago at 11:40 a.m., but never arrived. On Saturday, December 6, 2025, she was discovered and reported to be healing in a hospital near Chicago.
Hughes was last seen outside Union Station on the 500 block of West Jackson Boulevard in Chicago on December 3, 2025, according to a police report filed by her parents. She is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs about 150 pounds, and has blue eyes and brown hair. When she went missing, she was dressed in a light purple jacket, blue jeans, and tan snow boots.
Officials stated that Hughes’ identification has not been amended to reflect her current affirmed name and still includes her original surname, Hughes.
The Chicago Police Department’s Area 3 Special Victims Unit is investigating the matter, and anyone with information should call 312-744-8266 or dial 911.
Tracy Davis, store manager of 7230 Gravois Gift in St. Louis, has requested the public to help spread the word about Hughes’ disappearance.
The inquiry is ongoing as investigators continue to look for Hughes.
