State and federal officers arrested over 80 illegal aliens while breaking up cartel human smuggling operations in Texas in recent days. Two smuggling attempts involved commercial truck drivers.
On November 28, 2025, a Texas State Trooper stopped a semi-truck cab in LaSalle County and discovered 23 illegal aliens squeezed inside.
The Border Patrol took custody of the illegal aliens from Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Mexico. The 24-year-old Laredo driver was arrested for alleged human smuggling.
Meanwhile, US Border Patrol officers in the Laredo Sector disrupted a similar smuggling operation when they uncovered 15 illegal aliens being smuggled in another semi truck cab, which was also stolen.
On December 1, 2025, Border Patrol agents and state troopers acting on a tip from the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office knocked on the door of a small trailer home suspected of being a cartel “stash house” and discovered 43 illegal aliens jammed inside.
The aliens were from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Colombia, Peru, El Salvador, and Ecuador.
