According to CBS News, Banks was booked into DeKalb County Jail and charged with possessing a Schedule II controlled substance with the intent to distribute.

Banks was stopped on Buford Highway in Atlanta. She was freed from jail on the day of her arrest, although her bond amount is unknown.

According to TMZ, an officer noticed a tinted tag covering a license plate, which is against the law. Further investigation found that the vehicle was marked as stolen.

Officers allegedly discovered MDMA in Banks’ handbag and marijuana on the driver, Amani Dirton.

The incident is the second time she has been arrested in the city this year. Following his detention at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in August, Banks was charged with theft by receiving stolen items.

She was taken to Clayton County Jail for possessing a stolen gun. At the North Checkpoint, an X-ray machine discovered a gun in Banks’ Louis Vuitton luggage on the conveyor belt.

The rapper claimed she had no idea the Smith & Wesson was in the bag, which authorities allege was stolen from Greensville, South Carolina, in 2018.

In 2023, Banks joined the cast of VH1’s reality television series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. She has approximately 642,000 monthly Spotify listeners and is most known for her hit ‘Buss It,’ which has 158 million streams. Travis Scott appears on the hit song’s remix.
