The investigation involved illicit drugs being carried into West Virginia from Ohio.

The announcement revealed the arrival of Gibraun Gooden, 19, and Jamier Gooden, 22, both from Akron, Ohio, at a Parkersburg site. According to the announcement, detectives and the PNTF were already familiar with Gibraun from previous investigations.

Officers reported that a vehicle arrived at the scene after some time, and Gibraun and Jamier entered the vehicle’s back seat.

A patrol officer performed a traffic stop on West Virginia Route 95, resulting in a K-9 sniff and indication, according to the release.

According to the announcement, approximately 100 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl, 18 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 12 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and a minor amount of marijuana were discovered in the vehicle.

Officers also found items linked to the packaging and distribution of illicit substances.

Gibraun and Jamier were both detained and transferred to the Parkersburg Police Department. They have both been charged with carrying controlled narcotics into the state for distribution and possessing a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.

They were both charged in Wood County Magistrate Court, but neither posted the required $200,000 bond.
