A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper has been charged with raping a woman.
On December 9, 2025, Howell County prosecutors charged Ethan Minge with second-degree rape.
According to court documents, on October 23, 2025, a woman reported being sexually assaulted on July 27, 2025.
The woman said that Minge came to her West Plains house and forced her to have sex.
According to the records, Minge sent the woman the next day to acknowledge that she had said ‘no’ and apologize.
Minge is a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper assigned to Troop G.
“We are aware of the arrest of Trooper Ethan Minge following a criminal investigation by the West Plains Police Department,” said MSHP Public Information and Education Division Captain Scott White.
“In accordance with Patrol policy, our Professional Standards Division has been notified of the incident. While the administrative review process continues, Trooper Minge is on administrative leave with no pay, effective December 9.”
Minge bonded out of the Howell County Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
