A Chicago man has been charged three months after a man was robbed at gunpoint on the city’s South Side.
Damien Horton, 22, was arrested shortly before noon on Tuesday in the 6400 block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, according to Chicago police.
Horton was identified as one of the people in a September 7 robbery that occurred a block north on the same street where he was detained. According to investigators, at around 11:45 a.m., a 54-year-old man was held at gunpoint and had personal items taken from him.
Horton faces one felony count of robbery with a firearm.
It is unknown how authorities identified Horton during the inquiry.
Horton’s detention hearing is planned for Thursday in the Leighton Criminal Courthouse.
