The Florida Lottery recently announced that Yesenia Gonzalez Sandoval of Tallahassee won a $1 million prize from the 500X The Cash scratch-off game.
The North Florida woman chose to receive her prize in one lump sum payment of $640,000.
Gonzalez Sandoval purchased her winning ticket at Mr. K Food Store, situated at 6645 S.E. Babcock Street in Malabar, Brevard County.
She claimed her prize at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
The $50 500X The Cash scratch-off game has a top prize of $25 million, the largest ever offered on a Florida scratch-off game, and the best chances of becoming an instant millionaire. According to the Florida Lottery, this game still has one top prize and 46 $1 million prizes available.
The overall odds of winning this game are 1 in 4.23, with cash prizes totaling about $1.66 billion.
Scratch-off games are a key part of the lottery’s range of games, accounting for over 74% of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Furthermore, since their establishment, scratch-off games have awarded over $66.9 billion in prizes, created 2,350 billionaires, and raised more than $20.09 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
