Missouri High School Janitor Sentenced To Prison For Recording Girls In Locker Room

A high school janitor in far southwest Missouri was sentenced on Tuesday after admitting to hiding a video camera in a girls’ locker and recording children.

Rodger Copeland was sentenced to a total of 10 years in jail, Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway stated today.

Copeland pleaded guilty in October 2025 to two counts of invasion of privacy and twenty counts of harming the welfare of a child.

During an interview with law enforcement, the night janitor acknowledged to surreptitiously photographing 20 girls because he liked their bodies and faces.
