4 Suspects Charged With Receiving Stolen Property After Columbus Police Recover Vehicle

Christmas Eve in Columbus began with an update on a crime that unfolded just days before. On the night of December 21, Columbus Police were notified of the existence of a stolen vehicle on the city’s North Side. According to a Columbus Division of Police social media post, officers responded at 8:49 p.m. after getting a notification about the vehicle, which had been reported stolen earlier that morning.

The scene occurred at the intersection of Cleveland Ave. and E. 17th Ave., where a routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of four people discovered inside the vehicle in question. The accused, Tajan Love, Carson King, Patricia Rivera-Castillo, and Anthony Hodges, were arrested. They have been charged with receiving stolen stuff and are currently being held at the Franklin County Jail.

While the specifics of how the vehicle came into their hands have not been made public, the Columbus Division of Police has been transparent with the statuses of the concerned parties. These arrests reflect local law enforcement’s continuous efforts to combat property crimes, which often increase during the holiday season. The public’s participation in reporting such instances, as well as the officers’ prompt response, continues to be crucial in addressing these issues.

As the inquiry proceeds, the emphasis is on following due process and ensuring that justice is served. The Columbus Police Department has emphasized that all criminal defendants are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The arrests on December 21 will trigger additional court actions in which the evidence acquired will be properly analyzed and scrutinized.
