Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies detained a 23-year-old man on accusations that he raped a 22-year-old woman in southwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.
According to jail records, Pablo Virgilio Chubbeb, a Guatemalan national, is charged with one count of sexual battery involving threats.

The incident occurred on Friday near the 22000 block of Southwest 189th Avenue in rural Redland.
According to his arrest record, Chubbeb approached the victim and stated, “You’re going to give it to me or I’m going to take it,” before removing her pants and raping her.
Deputies said he warned her moments after the attack that if she reported him to the authorities, he would harm her.
According to deputies, Chubbeb confessed to the attack when being questioned. They did not confirm whether he is known to the victim.
As of Monday morning, he was being held without bond at the Metrowest Detention Center for an immigration hold.
